Gersi Troka, first participant from Albania in TRISOME GAMES 2016

For the first time Albania will be represented in the International Competition of Individuals with Down Syndrome, Trisome Games 2016, which will be held in Florence, Italy. Trisome Games are sportive games for different sports like swimming, athletics etc...for individuals with Down Syndrome. 

Albania will be represented from Gersi Troka, 16 years old boy from Tirana, who will compete in swimming category . Gersi started swimming since he was 9 years old and his will and success made  his trainers and his family urge him in this competition.

This competition will start on 15th of July till 22th of July and Gersi will be one of the 207 participants from 30 different countries. Gersi will compete in these swimming styles: free style, butterfly and back.  

Gersi's participation is supported by Down Syndrome Albania Foundation, Ministry of Education and Sports and Albanian National Swimming Federation, from Albtours D and good willing individuals. 

Gersi's participation in these competitions despite the fact that shows his abilities and his success, has as a point the awareness  of the society in Albania about the potential of Individuals with Down Syndrome.
