“Every Human is a Piece of Art"-International Day of Persons with Disabilities

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Council of Europe, in co-operation with the Permanent Representation of Albania and the Down Syndrome Albania Foundation, will host the exhibition:    “Every Human is a Piece of Art" 

 

 The photos of children with Down syndrome who recreate famous paintings will be exhibited between 2 December 2016 and 9 January 2017 (Agora building, Council of Europe).

The exhibition will mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (3 December 2016). 

“Every Human is a Piece of Art”  it is an idea realized by the albanian photographer Soela Zani  in collaboration with Down Syndrome Albania Foundation and the costumographer Lilo Shehu. 

The exhibition consists in the  conversion of 18 famous paintings, such as The Infant Samuel”, “Harriet Ann Seale”,  “Master John Heathcote”, “Child with Dove” etc..., into photos, where the paintings characters are replaced by children with Down syndrome.
